Michelin Dim Sum & AirBnB Tour in Hong Kong - vlog #054
If you're wondering where to eat in Hong Kong, here's another place for you to try. Today I'm heading to try out Fung Shing 鳳城 located in Mong Kok. This place was a pretty popular place while I was looking for places to eat at in Hong Kong and it has won many awards. It also is on the Hong Kong Michelin guide for multiple years! While entering the building you will have to take the elevator to get to the restaurant. When I came here they had a few staff members that spoke english and you can get the english menu as well. I can see why many local people eat here and why it has won many awards. It kind of felt like a nofrills dining sort of place, just good food at very affordable prices. Apparently this place has been opened since 1954. I really enjoyed my dishes that I had here and would come here again to try out some other dishes. The menu here is quite different from Tim Ho Wan, but if I had to pick only one place to between the two I would go to Tim Ho Wan instead.
Since today is my last day in Hong Kong I'll show you a brief tour of my AirBnB room in the Jordan Area. I book my AirBnB room last minute and was able to get this place for around $32 USD a night. I'm sure you can find places that are cheaper and maybe better if you look ahead of time. If you are claustrophobic, you probably wouldn't want to rent this type of room. The bathroom and kitchen areas are shared among the other guest, however you get your own room with a keypad lock. I'm kind of use to living in small rooms since in Seoul I lived in a goshitel (student dorm) and in Tokyo I lived in a shared dorm. The experience wasn't too bad, since my main priority is to not be in the room except to sleep and shower. If you are on a budget and solo traveling these types of rooms may appeal to you and can be frequently found all around Hong Kong. When looking on AirBnB though be sure to look at the amenities that they offer like wifi, fans, a/c, free shampoo/conditioner, laundry rooms, etc depending on your needs.
Now that I've packed I'm now heading on my next leg of the trip to Australia!

Hello, 🌷🌷🌷🥀🥀🥀🌻🌻🌻May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?

Dec 2022 update: ate at sushi dai three times last month. Heads up for those wanting to dine there, get there EARLY. Between 430am-5am is recommended. Though they don’t open until 6am, the host typically issues appointment times and is sold out before the restaurant even opens at 6am! The third time I ate there, they were fully booked by 530am! Worth getting up early for? ABSOLUTELY! Sushi Dai is probably the best sushi restaurant outside of Ginza which is the Mecca for Michelin star sushi restaurants.

coming from a japanese national, that list is pretty touristy and on the low end of budget side for sure. sushi places like midori and sushi dai aren't the cheapest places like sushiro or kura sushi, but they are considered budget/middle of the road in terms of clientele and quality and pales in quality to many of the michelin starred places or any high end sushi places. also, I wouldn't talk about ramen places being "the best in japan" and such unless you have eaten several hundred ramen bowls around japan. that's a bold statement coming from someone who's only spent a month in tokyo. i have eaten at most of the places on the list but none would be in my top 10.

Nice video. Having lived in Japan for 8 years, there are two things that stand out with Japanese food across all prices levels- outstanding service and high quality food. Both are deeply cultural. This is what makes dining out in Tokyo always satisfying. The consistency of these two components are unmatched anywhere in the world.
